Bulgari has presented a new iteration of its record-breaking Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar

Bulgari has unveiled a new version of its Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar watch, which features a combination of gold and carbon. The watch was showcased at the 2023 Geneva Watch Days fair, which features almost 40 prominent brands showcasing their latest creations. Bulgari has six new watches on display, including two new versions of the Octo Finissimo timepieces. The Octo Finissimo collection was introduced almost a decade ago and has since become synonymous with Bulgari's watchmaking prowess and its quest for pushing the boundaries of horology.

Bulgari has earned an impressive series of world records over the last nine years for its relentless pursuit of absolute thinness. The Octo Finissimo timepieces have been crafted out of various materials, including platinum, yellow and rose gold, titanium, ceramic, and steel. The new versions of the Octo Finissimo Automatic and Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar models are expressed in carbon and gold.

The new version of the Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar is almost identical to the timepiece that debuted two years ago, which won the coveted Aiguille d'Or prize at the Grand Prix d'horlogerie de Genève in 2021. The watch set Maison's 7th world record for slimness, thanks to the caliber BVL 305 movement that has a thickness of just 2.75mm, despite offering the Perpetual Calendar complication that requires no adjustment before 2100. The ultra-slim profile of the movement means that the case enveloping it is only 5.8mm thick.
