Lamborghini Launches Its First Hybrid Supercar in South Korea

Italian supercar maker Lamborghini has taken the wraps off its first plug-in hybrid SUV, the Urus SE, in South Korea. The Urus SE is a combination of the iconic high-performance capabilities of Lamborghini and eco-friendly technology. It gets a hybrid powertrain with various driving modes, one being all-electric. This vehicle will serve the growing green vehicle market in South Korea.

South Korea has become a very important market for luxury carmakers, what with high per capita spending on luxury goods. In fact, sales for Lamborghini in the region have been remarkable, registering 7.1% increase in the first half of 2024 compared to last year. On the other hand, the CEO of Lamborghini, Stephan Winkelmann, said he saw a big chance of getting the Urus SE into the market, primarily because of its flexible and innovative brand.

The event in Seoul only reiterates the way Lamborghini wants to proceed with: luxury and ecology. With the SE Urus, the brand is not only taking a huge technological step forward but also partaking in the global major automotive trend toward eco-friendly products. It expects that this will actually reinforce its positioning in the South Korea market and further boost its sales volume.
