Spanish fashion retailer Mango is embracing digital transformation with its new conversational generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform, 'Lisa.' Designed to assist employees and partners in various aspects of the retail group's operations, Lisa shares a similar interface with ChatGPT. Developed in less than nine months, this platform is a pivotal part of Mango's ongoing technological transformation, focusing on the life cycle of key industry assets: customers, stores, stock, and products.

Mango's 'Lisa' and 'Inspire' (a generative AI platform for images) are designed to enhance different aspects of the business. 'Lisa' serves as a co-pilot, helping employees and stakeholders improve processes ranging from developing collections to after-sales service. According to Jordi Álex, Mango's Director of Technology, Data, Privacy, and Security, generative artificial intelligence extends human capabilities and ensures technology remains valuable.

Additionally, 'Inspire' plays a role in the creative process. This generative AI platform assists Mango's design and product teams by offering different concepts for co-creating prints, fabrics, and garments. It has already contributed to over 20 garments co-created with generative AI, showcasing how AI is becoming an integral part of the fashion industry's evolution.
