Do you know what the word Supermodel means? The Oxford Dictionary describes it as a successful fashion model who has reached celebrity status. However, now Apple TV seeks to answer this question in their own words with a new documentary, "The Supermodels." And the best way to answer this question is with the first SuperModels, the originals.
The documentary is scheduled for release on September 20 this year and will feature Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, and Linda Evangelista. This four-part docu-series seeks to give a realistic perspective of the industry from the hands of the former queens of the 90s. This docu-series will take us beyond the catwalk and show us how these four women could change the power dynamics that existed until then.
The series will look at the beginning, when these four icons of female empowerment came together in New York, to the present day, where they are cultural, philanthropic, and business leaders. The SuperModels will share their reflections, and we will also enjoy an archive of never-before-seen images. The small trailer reveals little, but enough to know that it opens a great window into the fashion industry that we have not seen before.
